Melissa Smith

Director of Operations

With 15 years of seasoned experience in facilities operations and contract management, Melissa brings a wealth of expertise to her projects. Her overall operational responsibilities include the review of work order reports to ensure timely and accurate completion of corrective and preventative maintenance, compliance with terms of the contract, early detection of equipment issues and trends, discovery of opportunities for improvement, and budget performance. Currently, Melissa oversees 28 facilities and 89 full-time employees. In her role, she has developed a training program for current employees and new hires to help with CMMS implementation as well as created a new, companywide PO program.

What's your favorite CGL project you've worked on?

My favorite project by far is the housing project for boys and girls saved from sex trafficking because this has become a major issue in the United States, and it’s so important that the individuals saved from these exploitations have a safe place to go where they can have counseling and develop life skills to reintroduce them to society.

What's your favorite CGL project you've worked on?

For me, it would be ‘Do the Right Thing,’ because everyone will make a mistake or two, but as long as you do the right thing, anything can be fixed.

If you could pick one superpower - what would it be and why?

I think of this one every day; if I could have one superpower, it would be to have the ability to heal people from terminal diseases such as Cancer because I myself have lost so many loved ones to this disease.
