Landon Carrell

Director of Operations, Higher Education

Landon has over 17 years of experience working in government, non-profit, and private organizations. In his previous role in the University Systems of Georgia at Georgia Tech, he served in various roles responsible for an annual budget/expenditures of $40 million for a three-million-square-foot, 9,600-bed operation. Before joining the University Systems of Georgia, Landon was a senior manager at the City of Atlanta Office of Housing, where he was instrumental in managing several federal programs and serving in multiple committee assignments.

What's your favorite CGL project you've worked on?

At CGL, you get to work on many projects big and small. Some of the smallest projects have the biggest impact. I have enjoyed working on and educating our clients about the benefits of building automation projects. These systems if planned and maximized to their full potential have big impacts on building performance and lowers man hours needed to operate a building.

What's your favorite part about working at CGL?

Working at CGL provides me a new opportunity every day to make a meaningful difference. Our clients have diversified needs, allowing me to be involved in solving both complex and routine issues. Having a highly qualified team of like-minded professionals surrounding me and working diligently to raise the industry standard everyday inspires me.

Where in the world would you like to travel to next?

My wife and I have been blessed with a large family. I would travel anywhere in the world as long as they are there with me. However, I do prefer staying near the ocean and good fishing.
