Caitlin O’Connor is a seasoned criminal justice professional with extensive experience in research, data analysis, and policy development. She earned her Master of Science in Criminal Justice from Roger Williams University and has worked in various key roles within the criminal justice system. In late 2024, she joined CGL Companies as a Senior Research Scientist and Data Analyst. Caitlin’s nearly two-decade career includes significant contributions at the Rhode Island Department of Corrections, where she conducted comprehensive research and analysis to guide policy and program decisions, particularly focusing on corrections and community reentry initiatives. For nearly ten years, she led the state’s adult recidivism study.
Over the past five years, Caitlin also worked in higher education, leveraging her expertise to support research and sponsored programs, further enhancing her skills in data-driven decision-making and policy impact assessment. Additionally, Caitlin serves as the gubernatorially appointed Vice-Chair of Rhode Island’s Criminal Justice Policy Board, overseeing the distribution of federal formula funding and spearheading the development of a statewide Criminal Justice Strategic Plan.
Caitlin lives in Rhode Island with her husband, two sons, and two dogs. When she’s not immersed in her work, she spends much of her time at baseball fields supporting her children’s teams, enjoying the balance between her professional pursuits and family life.
