Senior Research Scientist and Data Analyst

Caitlin brings two decades of experience in criminal justice research, planning, and policy development to CGL. She specializes in using data and performance metrics to help agencies improve operations, measure outcomes, and implement sustainable reforms. Her work supports all phases of system planning, from recidivism analysis to dashboard development. Prior to joining CGL, Caitlin served as Assistant Director of the Justice System Training & Research Institute and led major initiatives at the Rhode Island Department of Corrections focused on reducing recidivism, strengthening reentry, and aligning policy with measurable impact.

What's your favorite part about working at CGL?

 What I enjoy most about working here is being part of a research team of smart, driven women. The collaborative energy and shared commitment to delivering high-quality, evidence-based insights make every day fulfilling. Working alongside such a talented group not only pushes me to grow but also inspires me to contribute meaningfully to the impactful work we’re doing.

Which core value do you relate to the most?

I most identify with “Care About People” because the work we do in the criminal justice system is focused on improving safety in our communities. It’s about making decisions that have a positive impact on the people around us and contributing to long-lasting, meaningful change.

If you could pick one superpower - what would it be and why?

If I could have one superpower, it would be the ability to control time. My kids are growing up so fast, and it feels like the years are flying by. It would be amazing to pause time and really savor these moments before they get older and more independent.
