What's your favorite CGL project you've worked on?
Having the opportunity to open Green Rock Correctional Center, a brand-new facility in 2007.
Tim has more than 38 years of professional facility maintenance and management experience as an electrician, electronics technician, lead man, supervisor, and preventive maintenance manager.
Tim served as CGL’s Building and Grounds Superintendent at the 1,050-bed Green Rock Correctional Center in Chatham, Virginia for the Virginia Department of Corrections. He was responsible for all aspects of maintenance for the medium security correctional center. He scheduled preventive and predictive maintenance programs, and performed daily corrective maintenance on all equipment from HVAC units, food service equipment, and video surveillance equipment, to the state vehicles used at the facility. Tim was presented the Virginia DOC Fulfill Award, representing one of the seven goals for staff development at the institution.
Since 2000, Tim has performed work as a maintenance supervisor, a maintenance planner and an electrician/electronics technician. He has also managed and performed preventive and corrective maintenance in correctional and commercial environments. Tim has worked with a crew of mechanics, welders, and other trades in weekly maintenance of various machinery, programmed PLC and touch screens, planned work schedules, interviewed prospective maintenance personnel, assessed down equipment, prepared weekly reports, procured parts, and more.
