He has worked on a diverse range of projects, from large-scale commercial and retail developments to civic and educational facilities, both nationally and internationally. John’s projects have earned multiple awards for retail design, showcasing his ability to bring a client’s vision to life through thoughtful concept design. With extensive experience in all project phases, including pre-design, site planning, construction documentation, and administration, John brings his expertise to justice architecture, applying innovative and adaptable design solutions to meet client needs.

Which core value do you relate to the most?

Although I strongly believe in all of them, the one that I identify the most with as an architectural designer is “Make it better”. Being able to understand the client’s goals and being able to provide them with the design solutions that meet their requirements for future adaptability and growth is key to providing them with a better solution and a better environment for their occupants. As justice architecture moves forward, it’s important we learn from the past and continue to look for innovative ways to make it better.

What's your favorite part about working at CGL?

What I like the most about CGL is that they are market leaders in the criminal justice sector. Their 360 approach is proven, and one that I feel I can come on board and learn from the best experts in the field and become a valued team member on current and future projects while helping define how justice architecture moves forward into the future.

Where in the world would you like to travel to next?

For me, I’d love travel across Europe. I’ve had the privilege of traveling all across the United States and even to China a few times in my career but have not been to Europe. To be able to see all the architectural wonders in person that you read about and see in pictures would be a dream come true.
