Jason joined CGL after serving with the Illinois Department of Corrections for over
26 years in various roles. He worked his way through the ranks gaining knowledge
and experience from a variety of security standpoints at several facilities including
Vienna, Tamms, and Lawrence Correctional Centers. During his time with the IDOC
he oversaw the Jail and Detention Standards Unit, which involved the inspection
of 98 county jails and municipalities to ensure compliance with state statutes
and best practices. Jason has more than 18 years of auditing experience directly
related to IDOC’s internal and external reviews relative to the American Correctional
Association and the National Institute of Corrections Standards.
