What's your favorite part about working at CGL?
I would say its the quality of the people who work for CGL. Not only are they experts in their craft, but overall they are just simply high quality humans.
Chad Thompson began his career with the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office (FCSO) in 1992 as a deputy assigned to the Corrections Bureau. He served as a supervisor in both the Corrections and Patrol Bureaus of the FCSO as well as the assistant commander of the hostage negotiation team.
In September of 2012, he was promoted to the rank of Major and was assigned as the facility commander for the downtown jail. In July of 2014, he was moved to the Research and Development Bureau and helped form and lead the C.O.R.E. and Transition teams as the project manager for the design and construction of the new James A. Karnes Correctional Center.
Chad is a graduate of both the Northwestern School of Police Staff and Command class #281 and the National Jail Leadership Command Academy class #14. He has received multiple certificates of merit, individual commendations, office citations and two lifesaving Awards.
