Chad Thompson

Program Manager

Chad is a Program Manager bringing over 30 years of experience in correctional operations, facility planning, transition management, and staff development. Prior to joining CGL, Chad served with the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office in Ohio, where he held leadership roles overseeing correctional and patrol operations, project management, and facility activation initiatives. He has extensive experience leading operational transitions for new and renovated justice facilities, managing multidisciplinary teams, and coordinating staff training programs. Throughout his career, Chad has been recognized for his deep commitment to public service, staff mentorship, and operational excellence.

Chad is a graduate of both the Northwestern School of Police Staff and Command class #281 and the National Jail Leadership Command Academy class #14. He has received multiple certificates of merit, individual commendations, office citations and two lifesaving Awards.

What's your favorite part about working at CGL?

I would say its the quality of the people who work for CGL. Not only are they experts in their craft, but overall they are just simply high quality humans.

Which core value do you relate to the most?

“Do the right thing” resonates with me because it emphasizes honesty, accountability and ethical decision making which are all applicable in either your personal or business life. Doing the right thing, because its the right thing to do, has been a cornerstone value of most successful companies and CGL definitely heads the list.

Where in the world would you like to travel to next?

I have two places…. One is Japan. I love the food and culture and would really enjoy getting to be immersed in both. My other place is Scotland, specifically Edinburgh Castle to attend the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo, and watch the best Pipes and Drums organizations from all over the world at the historic castle.
