Officials Break Ground on Monroe County Courthouse Expansion
STROUDSBURG, Pa. — Thursday, June 17 marked the official groundbreaking of the new Monroe County Courthouse Expansion. County leaders and members of the project team were present to commemorate the occasion, a multi-million dollar project several years in the making.
Expansion of the courthouse will create room for more courtrooms and judges’ chambers and additional support space for many departments that work out of the courthouse. The expansion will also make the building safer by incorporating current best practices in courthouse design to improve the safety, security and flow of people going into the building.

The project is slated for completion in 2023.
