Flagstaff Municipal Courthouse
Our Expertise
The design-build team of CGL and Kinney Construction worked with the City of Flagstaff to deliver its new municipal courthouse. CGL developed floor plans, exterior elevations and renderings to assist in moving the project through the city planning department, historic zoning department, board of supervisors approval, and citizen’s committee approval.
The new three-story, 40,000-square-foot court facility contains three jury-capable courtrooms, one non-jury capable courtroom, a jury assembly room, a hearing room, two jury deliberation rooms and court administration space. In addition to the courtrooms, the new facility includes offices and detention facilities. The new facility, completed in November 2020, is a long-awaited replacement for the City’s former courthouse, which was originally built as a furniture store and now often floods during monsoon season.
